Learning Outcomes

Month 1 – Foundational Skills (Linux, Networking, Cloud, Containerization)

With reverse learning use cases like deploying a container or web page first, then tracing back to the basics

  • Operate a Linux system using essential command-line tools, file system navigation, process management, package installation, and user/group administration.
  • Configure and troubleshoot basic network settings, including IP addressing, DNS, ping/traceroute, firewall (ufw/iptables), and SSH remote access.
  • Understand the core components of cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and navigate AWS (or equivalent) for basic resource provisioning.
  • Provision and manage cloud resources such as EC2 (virtual machines), S3 (object storage), and Security Groups using console and CLI.
  • Host a static web page on the cloud using an EC2 instance or S3 bucket, configuring permissions and DNS to make it publicly accessible.
  • Understand containerization concepts – containers as isolated processes using Linux kernel features like namespaces and cgroups.
  • Run and manage Docker containers, including building simple container images, running services, inspecting logs, and exposing ports.
  • Relate cloud and container technologies to foundational concepts in Linux and networking through hands-on reverse learning cases.
  • Evaluate simple deployment architectures , identifying how Linux, networking, containers, and cloud services interact in modern infrastructure.

Month 2 – Cybersecurity & Automation

  • Automate infrastructure administration tasks using Ansible ad-hoc commands and playbooks to manage users, configure services, apply security settings, and standardize server setups.
  • Apply foundational cybersecurity principles by understanding what is a vulnerability, attack surface, threat actor, risk, common cyber attacks, security measures, CIA triad.
  • Harden operating systems and cloud workloads by implementing SSH hardening, disabling unused services, configuring firewalls, enforcing the principle of least privilege through IAM and user role auditing.
  • Conduct ethical hacking simulations through basic vulnerability scanning, network enumeration, password attacks, and reconnaissance using tools.
  • Learn to investigate and protect resources in AWS using CloudTrail, CloudWatch and setting up AWS WAF to protect web applications from common threats and enhance cloud security.

  1. Registration fee payment can be done either for individual enrollment (Per-head registration fee: INR 1400/-) or for group enrollment (Per-head registration fee x Number of Students in the group)

  4. Submit the enrollment form and upload the transaction receipt.
